Choosing your single vision lenses

Every complete pair comes with standard single vision lenses, with anti-glare included on every range except Essentials, where it's £40 extra. If you want sharper vision, upgrade the lens:

  • Zeiss ClearView, +£80: a flatter, thinner design that keeps vision sharp right to the edge of the lens, not just through the centre. Comes with DuraVision Platinum, Zeiss's toughest anti-glare coating.
  • Zeiss SmartLife, +£200: designed for how we use our eyes now, constantly switching between phone, screen and distance. Especially good from your late 30s, when focusing starts to tire.

Need varifocals?

Varifocals are added to the frame you choose and expertly fitted to work in it. Standard varifocals are +£125 on top of your frame, with 1.6 index lenses and anti-glare included. Upgrade to Zeiss varifocals from +£250 on top of your frame, with free Photofusion included across all three Zeiss tiers. The most advanced varifocal experience available, from an authorised Zeiss partner practice.

You don't need to have your eye test with us to buy glasses from us. Bring your current prescription and we'll take care of the rest: same great frames, same Zeiss lens upgrades, same second pair half price offer.

On all private complete pairs, including lens upgrades. Mix and match frames, lens types and tiers. Your second pair doesn't have to be the same as your first.

Looked after once you've collected

If anything isn't right with glasses we've made for you, come back within 28 days of collecting them and we'll put it right. That includes our varifocal adaptation guarantee if you're new to varifocals. Adjustments and minor repairs are free on glasses bought from us.

J.HYDE is a Birmingham-founded independent eyewear brand: premium, considered and made to last. Heyelander is a Dutch independent brand with a distinctive European aesthetic. Neither available at any chain. Find them in The Edit, from £219.
