Bringing the children?

Children's eye tests are free on the NHS and take about 20 minutes, with after-school slots so you don't need to take them out of class. If your child's prescription keeps getting stronger, ask about Zeiss MyoCare, lenses designed to slow short-sightedness. Free NHS glasses are available from our children's range, with upgrades from £29.

Your questions answered

Is my eye test free?

It's free on the NHS if you're under 16, 16 to 18 in full-time education, 60 or over, have diabetes or glaucoma, or get Universal Credit (within the earnings limits) and some other benefits. Otherwise a private eye test is £30. Check if you qualify.

How long is a children's eye test?

About 20 minutes. Adult appointments are 30 minutes.

Can I use my child's NHS voucher on any frame?

Yes. Choose from the free children's range, or put the voucher towards an upgrade and pay the difference.
